This Brother Duo Will Make You an Expert Home Chef

Home cooking with confidence has never been easier or more affordable.

Seattle, WA, Oct. 22, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Abbio, a direct-to-consumer brand for the modern home chef, launched this month at www.abbiokitchen.com. With a mission to inspire people to create their own home-cooked memories, Abbio has created the perfect cookware offering by combining forward-thinking functionality and professional chef quality materials at an affordable price.

Technology and eCommerce experts Jonathan Wahl and Eric Wahl (brothers) developed Abbio out of their passion for home cooking and frustration with the existing overpriced and over-complicated cookware options on the market.

“Our love for home cooking accelerated in our early twenties after college. But despite having good ingredients and recipes, we still lacked quality cookware. And when we decided to make our first big cookware investments, we realized the existing options were really expensive and unnecessarily confusing. That was the moment we decided to start Abbio and make home cooking easy, affordable and enjoyable 100% of the time,” says Jonathan Wahl.

While working as product managers at technology companies, the brothers focused on simplifying the user experience for the customer. They took those lessons and applied them to the cookware industry; Abbio distills a confusing and crowded product category into a single set of cookware perfect for almost any type of cooking. The five-piece set is designed for customers with apartment-sized kitchens with limited cupboard space and smaller stoves. Each piece can serve multiple functions. The set is compatible with all cooktops, including induction.  "We wanted to simplify cookware and offer a high performance set for under $300," says Eric Wahl. “It’s the type of cookware professional chefs use at home, and it’s the type of cookware that will be in your kitchen for the next 20 years.”

The Wahl brothers started by developing the best non-stick surface available. “We wanted nonstick that’s extra resilient to scratching, cleans up easily and doesn’t have any harmful chemicals (PFOAs),” says Eric Wahl. “After over a year of development, we knew we finally found it when we repeatedly got a restaurant-quality sear out of the same nonstick pan.”

All Abbio pieces are tri-ply, the first choice among chefs for performance and durability. Tri-ply construction consists of aluminum sandwiched between layers of stainless steel, which allows for precise control over the temperature of the pan, even heat distribution, and increased durability when compared to other cookware materials.

Abbio offers home chefs the highest quality cookware for a fraction of the price with an amazing customer experience. The cookware is available for purchase exclusively online at www.abbiokitchen.com. Product pricing is as follows:

The Abbio Name

Abbio is the sign of a great meal and a great time. The name is short for abbiocco, which is the Italian word for the happy, drowsy and satisfied feeling you get after eating a big meal.
